The Answerphone Message is the third clue in the Mystery Man Clueline. It can be found by Chris in the lodge, in Chapter 2 of Until Dawn.
It can be also be found by Sam in Chapter 2, Chapter 5 or Chapter 10, or by Ashley in Chapter 6.
Overview[]
An answerphone with a worrying message. The voice of a police officer can be heard contacting Mrs. Washington about a released convict.
Audio[]
One New Message.
New Message.
Hi Mrs. Washington - this is Sergeant Tait again. It's bad news, I'm afraid. We've been through the case files, and there's nothing we can do. He's a free man. We don't have the legal power to restrict his movement. I know it's not what you wanted to hear, so call me if you want to know more.
End of messages.
Location[]
On the main floor of the lodge, walk to the left of the Prom Night Photo and continue until you reach the open doorway that leads into the dining room. This clue is to the left of the screen.
Trivia[]
- It was Josh's voice. There never was an escaped convict.
- If the answerphone message was found, Chris will later mention to Ashley how the Sergeant couldn't do anything about the escaped convict and was saying it like a warning.
- This occurs even if Chris isn't the one to find it. For example, if Sam listens to the the message in Chapter 2, then Chris will still discuss it with Ashley even though he never encountered the recording and was out of earshot when she played it.
